• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Ajay Chadha -- Easy Read & A Wealth of Information : The authors have done a fantastic job by writing this easy-to-understand book which explains the complex world of energy in simple terms. The laws of Thermodynamics are straightforward and well explained in this book for any reader. It is well known that ALL systems/processes built are inefficient and loose energy. With the growing interest in battery powered EV's, solar, wind and other alternative energies, the authors have tried to clarify the myth that these alternate energies (and developments) are the answer to our future energy needs. The book very well explains the "real" fact that the alternative energies are unreliable and some are actually "piggybacking" on the traditional energy sources (coal, oil and gas). A wealth of energy-related information [along with historical perspectives and examples of energy dependent nations] has been compressed in this book. A MUST read for EVERYONE!
